A better finder rename app6/12/2023 ![]() ABFR has options for removing vowels and trailing spaces, and though you could do the same in Name Mangler using regular expressions, ABFR makes it a bit easier. ![]() When replacing text in a bunch of file or folder names, ABFR lets you specify which instance of a given string (the first, second, third, and so on) you want to look for. For example, when naming files sequentially, ABFR lets you sort twice (say, by creation date then by name) Name Mangler offers only single-pass sorting. There are, however, some significant differences between the two programs. Like Name Mangler, ABFR lets you use regular expressions to find and replace text strings in filenames. More critically, both apps let you use regular expressions to find and replace text-a great tool for power users. And like Name Mangler, ABFR lets you create sequences of renaming actions, so you could, say, add a number to the front of the name and then replace a string of text at the end in one fell swoop. Advanced (rename from a name list in a file replace or rearrange using regular expressions completely rename)Īlso, like Name Mangler, ABFR lets you create “droplets”-little mini-apps that perform particular saved sets of renaming actions whenever you drop files on them-as well as save renaming actions as presets for later use.Tags (you choose from among a huge number of file, image, camera, and date metadata).Path components (you specify how many levels of parent folders show up in the new name).Alphabetical sequences (add said sequences at the beginning or end, before or after existing text, or at a particular position).Sequencing (add some kind of sequential data, such as image1, image2, and so on, to file names to create the file order, you can sort by name, modification date, creation date, size, and other factors).Truncate (to a certain number of chars, or to the old 8.3 format).Conversions (convert to lowercase, uppercase, title case, sentence case, or camel case remove diacriticals convert to Mac OS 9 names make names Windows NTFS/SMB compatible).Character position and ranges (remove a number of characters from the beginning or end, or in a specific range).Characters (replace or remove specified characters keep only specific characters remove trailing spaces remove vowels).Text (add or insert text at a specific spot in the original filename remove, replace, or move text).

Ivamp harper sloan hope town6/12/2023 One thing that was so fun to see was Axel as a dad. And that line they use a few times… about never saying goodbye… made me melt. I also loved Dani and how strong and fierce she was. I love Cohen and his alpha protective side. Their chemistry was off the charts!Ĭohen and Dani were both great characters. I loved it! Like I said before, he and Dani had such a strong connection, and that connection carried over to the bedroom. Cohen as a grown up… he gave all the Corps men a run for their money. ![]() ![]() I loved the emotional aspect of the story, but I also loved the sexiness. I loved watching their relationship change. When Dani and Cohen do finally get there, the build up is just so big. When they are connected from the start, but finally take it to the next level. I love when characters have all this history with each other. “Even though I don’t think I’m good enough for her, I’ll spend my life making she that she knows she’s the best thing I will ever have.”Ĭohen and Dani’s story is very much a friends to lovers story. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t wanted her just like she’s wanted him. The other would be that he’s 4 years older than her, best friends with her brother, and her family is like his. And that’s just one of the reasons he’s stayed away from Danielle Reid. She’s never acted on it, but she’s never kept it a secret from him how she felt.Ĭohen is in the service. Not only was it get getting to see some of my favorite characters again, as parents, but I loved Cohen so much as a kid, it was neat seeing him all grown up.ĭani Reid has had it bad for Cohen Cage for as long as she can remember. ![]() When I found out we were getting a Cohen and Dani book, I was thrilled. The characters are a family and I didn’t want their series to end. Git it girls6/12/2023 ![]() They loved both Hoffman and Cruise’s performances equally. ![]() Siskel hints at one point that he suspected Hoffman’s character was “faking it” for some reason. In fact, you can see the two of them almost struggle to even talk about autism. They go on to cover Barry Levinson’s Rain Man, a film that of course doesn’t play the same in 2023 as it did in 1988 (for a bevy of reasons), but it’s interesting just watching how much language around things like autism have changed over the years. Ebert, on the other hand, absolutely hated the film-so much so, it’s kind of hard to tell whether or not he understood it was a parody? Siskel repeatedly says that it’s a comedy film “like Airplane!,” but Ebert isn’t having it, even going so far as to insinuate Siskel was being racist for laughing at the movie. Right off the bat you’re reminded that in 1988, the Wayans Comedy Dynasty was so far from the household name they are today, Siskel mispronounces the family name as “WHY-ANNES.” Gene was all about the film, getting exactly what writer/director, Mr. Of course, it was always more fun when they disagreed, and the big split in this episode comes when they’re discussing Keenen Ivory Wayans’ I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, the now-classic parody comedy of Blaxploitation films. Siskel, dressed almost exactly the same as Rog, minus the glasses and gray hair, also loved it, calling it a, “terrific picture,” and claiming it is “old fashioned, quality movie-making.” Two thumbs up! Ebert, in his brown/gray suit jacket and sweater vest combo that’s hiding a mostly crumpled, creme-colored, collared shirt big, boxy glasses and floppy haircut that was most certainly gray by ‘88, loved the film, calling it the, “most entertaining film of the year.” He’s incredibly effusive toward Melanie Griffith’s performance as Tess McGill, the secretary who has a work idea stolen by her boss and seeks revenge. The first film up was Mike Nichols’ Working Girl, a film I still haven’t seen, but of course have heard about. I recently caught this episode from December, 1988 that’s a perfect example of your average outing with the guys in The Balcony. ![]() Sure, you can do this by reading archived reviews, but there’s something about watching these guys have at on video that’s so priceless. Which leads me to B) it’s great to go back in time and see how certain films were received upon release. They make for fun watches because A) these guys were so totally watchable as odd TV personalities, with their square outfits, big personas, and their, sometimes, totally outrageous takes on films. It does also feature a bunch of Ebert & Roeper and beyond, but I don’t really fuck with that era. ![]() For whatever reason, the only “old T.V.” the uploader seems to care about are episodes of At the Movies and the even older Sneak Previews with Siskel and Ebert. One of my favorite YouTube channels to hit up when I’m high and it’s too late to start a movie is That Old T.V. I guess people at NBC don’t really care about episodes of Late Night from 40 years ago sitting on YouTube? Same goes for shows hosted by long-deceased film critics, apparently. And my good buddy, Eric Szyszka often finds himself late at night doing some deep-dives into the broadcast history of David Letterman, another person whose television catalog is uploaded to the platform. One of my faves are the videos by people who clean up old-timey footage of folks walking around New York or Paris a century ago and change up the frame rate so it appears more contemporary. Yeah, so I have predilections toward certain YouTube rabbit holes I find myself going down, and that’s nothing out of the ordinary. Since this is the first one, I’ll give a little more background on top of the italicized column description above. When will geforce now for mac launch6/12/2023 ![]() The paid “Founders” tier is the full package, and includes access to NVIDIA’s new RTX servers. ![]() Surprisingly, NVIDIA is actually keeping around a free tier of the service – albeit with some restrictions – so there will be two tiers of service. Besides the obvious changes of removing the waitlists and charging for it, the shift from a beta to a paid offering won’t radically change the service, but NVIDIA is using the launch to make a few tweaksįirst and foremost, of course, is pricing. As of today that beta is finally coming to an end, and the service is rolling out in commercial form. NVIDIA has been offering this modern version of the service since early 2018 in the form of a free, waitlisted beta, slowly testing the platform while building up both the number of games and the number of platforms the client is available on. The net result is that GeForce NOW runs on a bring-your-own-games model, where NVIDIA rents out what’s essentially a virtual machine instance on their servers, and gamers can use their Steam/Uplay/Battle.Net/Epic accounts to play games they already own. ![]() Rather than going with a hybrid subscription model where customers would subscribe to a service, get some games, and get the option of buying more games on that service (ala Google Stadia or Playstation Now), NVIDIA has instead focused purely on providing the infrastructure and streaming services, but not the games. Trying out a number of different strategies over the years in various retoolings, NVIDIA has ultimately settled on an interesting, and for the moment at least, quite unique service offering for their game streaming service. And now, a bit over two years later, NVIDIA is finally taking the service out of beta and is formally launching the commercial GeForce NOW service. The most recent iteration, GeForce NOW, a multi-platform service, was launched in beta back at the start of 2018. Starting out as GeForce GRID for the controller-shaped SHIELD Portable, the service has morphed over the years in scope and technology. For the last several years, NVIDIA has been dabbling in offering game streaming services.
